On April 20, 2026, the Discipline Committee ordered terms, conditions and limitations on the RECE’s certificate of registration, including that the RECE must
• complete courses in “Building positive and responsive relationships with children” and “Positive intervention strategies”
• complete a prescribed mentorship program
• promptly provide their mentor with copies of the Discipline Committee’s final Order and other specified documents

On April 20, 2026, the Discipline Committee decided the RECE was guilty of professional misconduct, including physically and psychologically or emotionally abusing a child, and failing to maintain the standards of the profession. The Committee also decided that she was guilty of acting in a way that other RECEs would find disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional and that is unbecoming an RECE.

The Committee ordered a 12-month suspension; terms, conditions or limitations meant to improve the RECE’s practice; and a verbal reprimand.
