On April 23, 2025, the Discipline Committee of the College of Early Childhood Educators found the Member guilty of professional misconduct.
The Committee found that the Member had committed several acts of professional misconduct, including:
• failing to maintain the standards of the profession,
• acting or failing to act in a manner that, having regard for the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional,
• signing or issuing, in her professional capacity, a document that she knew or ought to have known contained a false, improper, or misleading statement,
• contravening a law, which contravention is relevant to her suitability to hold a certificate of registration, and
• conducting herself in a manner that is unbecoming a member.
The Committee directed the Registrar to immediately revoke the Member’s certificate of registration. The Committee also required the Member to appear before it to be reprimanded and ordered the Member to pay costs to the College in the amount of $1,000 within three months of the date of the Order.

On November 17, 2023, the former Member was found guilty of one (1)
count of misappropriating funds over $5000, by deceit or other fraudulent means,
contrary to section 380(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada for conduct
occurring between January 1st, 2018, and July 12, 2021, at the City
of Waterloo. The former Member was ordered to serve a conditional sentence for
a period of twelve (12) months.

| On November 14, 2022, the Member entered into an Undertaking with the College in which she is not currently entitled to engage in the practice of early childhood education, use the title "early childhood educator" or "registered early childhood educator", or hold herself out as an early childhood educator.
